The primary label has been clipped off on this bra but the RN number on the back label indicates that it is from Vanity Fair. I don’t know the age, but it has a bit of a vintage look to it. I initially thought this was a monowire bra with a single wire for both cups and extending through the gore, but on closer examination it proved to have a separate wire for each cup. The center gore is created by extending the underwire casing between the cups, apparently stiffening it up with a reinforcement of some kind. The unlined cups are spaced wide with a low plunge center and shallow underwires. The cup fabric is a stretch material with opaque strips alternating with sheer mesh, with a dart at the bottom for shaping. Both sides of the cups have non-stretch binding edges. An interesting plaid bow decorates the neckline edge of the right cup. The wings are the same striped material as the cups, with elastic along the edges. The straps stretch and adjust in the back.
